Diamond Candle: Giveaway!!

Have you guys seen any on-line ads for Diamond Candle?  I hadn't; until just recently.  And now I see them EVERYwhere.  If you haven't heard about them; here's the scoop.  They make soy based candles that have a ring hidden in each and every one of their candles.  According to the back of my candle, the rings can vary in value from $10 to $5000 (and according to their website, if the inside of your ring is stamped with 14K, you need to take it to a jeweler to be appraised).  Fun, right?

Well.  Earlier this month, Diamond Candle sent me a free candle to try out.  I got a honeysuckle scented candle and loved the scent.  It smells great just setting or being burned.

Okay, so I immediately started burning my candle, because I just couldn't wait to find my ring.  I burned the candle for a few days and then was able to see a little foil pouch hiding in the wax.  And...I may or may not have dug my way through my candle before it was really ready in order to check out the ring.

I managed to get the foil pouch out (with minimal damage to my candle - I would recommend waiting until it has sufficiently burned enough to dig your ring out). opened it up and voila!

Now.  My ring obviously wasn't worth more than $10.  Unfortunately, it doesn't really even fit any of my fingers (losing a few pounds would probably solve that issue!).  However, it was a TON of fun finding a little surprise in my candle.  My husband asked if I would actually buy one of the candle later down the road.  And honestly?  Why not?  Their candles are reasonably priced, they burn well, smell good AND you get the added fun of finding a ring.  Win, win, win!.
