Pregnancy Peeves

I am about ready to wear a sign around my neck that just answers the most frequently asked questions I get while I'm out and about so I can stop repeating myself a thousand times over.  Here's what it would say:

1.  Yes. I know my belly is huge.  No.  I am not carrying multiples or due any day now.  I have until October.

2.  I really feel fine, thank you!  I am still capable of doing my normal day to day activities, and even a few extras.  Ask me again in another month or two, and the answer may be different. :)

3.  Why yes, I do have my hands full with two little boys, thanks for noticing, and while we're thrilled to be having a little girl, it is not a relief.  We would have been just as happy with another boy.

4.  I know I have the entire Phoenix summer to deal with.  Trust me. I know!!

5.  No. This is not my first baby.  It is my third; so yes, I have kind of an idea as to what I'm getting into.

6.  Frankly, it is none of your business if we are "done yet".  However. "Done Yet" implies that we have more children than we need or should want, which is farther from the truth.  Each one of our babies were (somewhat) planned and we love each of them.  We love being parents and we love our little family more than anything.

My belly at 28 weeks.  Welcome to the 3rd trimester!! Is it weird that with this pregnancy I can never remember exactly how pregnant I am?
I have to keep looking it up...

I will say that regardless of the dumb questions I get, this is the first pregnancy that I have not had one single stranger come up and rub my belly in public.  I'll take dumb questions over invasion of physical space any day.

What we some of the most interesting (or irritating/humorous/embarrassing) questions you received from perfect strangers while pregnant?

I have two girls, and on my last pregnancy, people would ask the gender of the baby...I would tell them :we are having a girl...their reply....ohh,it's ok,it is beautiful to have girls...the "it's ok"part always made me lose it!Even my parents, and his...reacted the same way.....

Haha I remember getting these questions! It is so funny how people are drawn to pregnant women. I was working full time in retail when I was pregnant with my little one so I'd spend my day answering these.

That is so funny. As a Mom of 5 I have gotten the "boy you have your hands full" comment more times than I can count!! I found your blog on the Fun Friday Blog Hop and am now following you. I would love it if you come and follow me back at http://wwwmartha-wannabe.blogspot.com

You look great! I love that shirt. Also, I love that list. My friend's pregnant, and she's always telling me about the invasion of space to rub your belly thing. Also, someone asked her if she had considered an abortion... which was weird, because she's about as far along as you (and doesn't believe in abortions). I guess people always say weird things :)

I just found your blog, and it's adorable. I'm excited to be your newest follower!

Too funny. Here's another question that I always heard from people trying to be funny: You figured out what keeps causing this yet?

I will keep my response for this question to myself...don't want to offend anyone. lol

If you ever get round to printing that T shirt I reckon you could market it to other pregnant women and make a fortune. My most hated thing from my second pregnancy was people saying "so when will you start trying for a girl?", when I told them I was expecting my second boy!

Love your blog, I'm your newest followed on GFC (found you via the Weekend Blog Walk).
