Torn

I find myself facing a bit of a dilemma lately. I love "blog-land". I've met some wonderful people and friends through blogging, and I love getting new ideas and inspiration from others.

However, I have a really hard time with people finding ideas from others and then taking them and sharing them as their own. Like it really drives me nuts. I have a friend that sells the most adorable shirts on Etsy. They were recently featured on a celebrity's blog. Today I saw another blogger doing a tutorial on how to make those exact same shirts and it makes me bonkers. No shout out to the original artist - just taking her idea and showing others how to make it. Not cool. I know people do it all the time, and I should just get over it, but ugh. It's hard!

Just as a disclaimer...if I show something on my blog and I got the idea from somebody else, I will always post a link back to where I originally saw the idea. I'm not saying that all of my ideas are original, but if I don't post a link or give a shout out to somebody else, then that means I came up with it on my own.

That's it. I'll get off my soap box now. And get back to work - I'm supposed to be sitting in my booth at The Holiday House right now!

I totally know what you mean. Drives me bonkers too. It's flattering that they want to copy, but how hard is it to give credit where credit is due. grrrrrr.
